Dr. Chaudhry is President and CEO of the Federation of State Medical Boards, which was founded in 1912 and represents all 70 of the state and territorial medical licensing boards in the United States. The FSMB operates the Federation Credentials Verification Service (FCVS) and co-manages the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) with the National Board of Medical Examiners. From 2016 to 2018, Dr. Chaudhry was Chair of the International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA). In 2022, he was listed by Modern Healthcare magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare. A graduate of New York University, New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) and Harvard School of Public Health, Dr. Chaudhry did his internship at St. Barnabas Hospital and his residency in Internal Medicine at NYU Langone-Long Island Hospital, both in New York. He is a Master of the American College of Physicians, a Master of the American College of Osteopathic Internists (of which he was Past President) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London and Edinburgh). He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. |
